Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Import and Export Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the import and export processes for both ocean and air transportation. This role requires a strong understanding of international shipping regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the import and export process for ocean and air shipments.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate shipment processing.
- Monitor shipment schedules and provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, such as delays, damages, or customs holds.
- Maintain accurate records of all import and export activities.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and quotations for shipping services.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in international trade regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in import/export coordination, preferably in both ocean and air transportation.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Korean and Spanish languages is highly desirable.
